Hello! Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I hope you will get a sense of who I am and how my background might be a good fit for your mental health care.
I am drawn to Psychiatry because it is a field that calls physicians to truly “know” their patients. What troubles you, what hurts you, what angers you – these are the details that are often left unspoken yet consume so much of our bandwidth. In our sessions, I strive to give space for these concerns and begin to get to know them with you. Together, we’ll gain a clearer picture of your pain and stuck points with the goal of building a care plan that makes sense for you and your family. Regardless of who you are and what story you carry, you can expect a sense of presence, warmth, and safety in our work together.
I have worked with patients and families across the lifespan – from toddlers as young as age 3 in play-based therapy to Veterans who are admitted to inpatient hospice care. While my training is broad in scope, I have developed expertise in:
- Mood, anxiety, and trauma diagnoses
- Identity development
- Relational work
- School-age attention, behavior, and learning difficulties
- LGBTQ+ mental health and intersectionality
As a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, I am licensed to provide pharmacotherapy (i.e., medications) and psychotherapy including:
- Individual Therapy: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-Informed Therapy, Young Child Play Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy
- Parent Therapy: Parent Management Training (PMT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
- Family Therapy
Outside of the clinic, I am an avid tennis player, a newly minted dog father, and a beginning artist. A child of first-generation immigrants, I was born and raised in Maryland. Having lived around the nation to complete my training in Psychiatry, I am delighted to call California my home and am particularly proud to serve the San Francisco Bay Area.
I look forward to the chance to work together. Please contact the Baywell Psychiatry staff if you are interested in an initial consultation.
