Dr. Olesya Pokorna provides medication management, individual and couples therapy to adults and seniors. She treats a variety of issues, including anxiety, OCD, panic, tics, post-traumatic stress, depression, bipolar affective disorder, medical illness related problems, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Pokorna’s approach to treatment is informed by the latest evidence-based practices and inspired by respect, compassion, and empathy. Her therapeutic goal is to enhance a sense of feeling alive and promote well-being by creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment for her patients. Dr. Pokorna draws on multiple therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and emotionally-focused family therapies. Dr. Pokorna completed her residency training at the University of California San Francisco where she served as a chief resident for outpatient services. She is currently pursuing advanced psychotherapy training at San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
