Janessa is the front desk supervisor and practice management assistant at Baywell. She has also served as a co-director of our DEI program. Janessa leads a cohesive and motivated team of receptionists, supports with administrative tasks and manages the Berkeley and San Francisco office. She also assists on the management team with hiring and training new staff members, helps cultivate our community networking relationships and organizes our summer internship program.
Prior to joining Baywell, Janessa studied Psychology at California State University East Bay and received a B.S degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She has also worked with autistic children as a Behavioral Therapist. Janessa has a background in Performing Arts and is strongly connected in her local dance communities. She enjoys cooking, live music, nature walks and performing at cultural festivals and parades. She also spends her free time training in various styles of dance. Janessa is passionate about serving underprivileged youth and is dedicated to helping anyone in need.
