As a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist, I enjoy working with individuals and families across the life span. My hope is to create a safe space where self-reflection and belonging feel possible. I bring a gentle, curious, and persistent presence to the work, so that genuine emotional connection can emerge to support growth and wellness.
I rely on the thoughtful incorporation of pharmacotherapy into a holistic treatment plan that often involves individual and family therapy. I have experience treating mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, OCD, ADHD, grief, and personality disorders. I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals and those who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community. My approach involves the use of psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, play, and narratives to examine the self and relationships along the path towards healing.
I am part of a multilingual, second-generation queer family, which informs my experience of identity and connection with others. Unfortunately, I currently practice therapy only in English at this time.
I completed medical school, residency, and fellowship at UC Davis, where I trained in both adult and child psychiatry. Previously, I studied romantic languages and Latin American Literature at Smith College. I am passionate about literature, comics, film, music and visual arts, and I delight in weaving these arts into my therapeutic work.
