I am a board-certified general adult psychiatrist with extensive experience in providing comprehensive mental health care, including medication management and psychotherapy. My areas of expertise encompass a wide range of mental health conditions, with a particular focus on anxiety disorders, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and supportive psychotherapy, to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs. Additionally, I integrate mindfulness practices and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques to foster self-awareness and emotional regulation.
My therapeutic interests include assisting individuals of all ages through significant life transitions, such as career changes, parenthood, and academic pursuits as well as relationship issues. Recognizing the unique and complex nature of each person’s experiences, I strive to foster a deeper understanding of each individual and adjust their plan to their needs and treatment goals. My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and empathetic, and I am deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive care that respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my patients.
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University with a B.A. in Biology and then earned my M.D. from NYU School of Medicine. I completed my Psychiatry residency at NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell Payne Whitney. I furthered my expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy through the Palo Alto Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Fellowship. I also completed the Neuroscience Education Institute’s Master Psychopharmacology Program with distinction. I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Northern California Psychiatric Society, American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, and the Neuroscience Education Institute.
