I’m a board-certified adult psychiatrist and have completed a fellowship in consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry (formerly known as psychosomatic medicine). I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, identity-related distress, relationship difficulties, and disordered eating. I’ve also worked extensively with LGBTQ+ individuals and those living with chronic or life-threatening illness.
I approach treatment with curiosity, warmth, and depth. My work is informed by psychodynamic and relational theories, with a focus on how early experiences, internal conflicts, and social context shape the present. In addition to psychotherapy training during residency, I completed a two-year Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program (SF-PPTP) at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis to deepen this work. I also incorporate other psychotherapeutic approaches (e.g., behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices) as needed. Whether through psychotherapy, medications, or both, I aim to create a space where we can think together – especially about the parts of experience that feel confusing, painful, or difficult to articulate.
I completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and went on to complete both my four-year adult psychiatry residency (where I served as Chief Resident for Multisite Outpatient Services during my last year of residency training) as well as a one-year consultation-liaison fellowship at UCSF.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, camping, watching live music, reading, and spending time with my two cats, Nessie and Calypso. I was born in London, United Kingdom, but grew up mostly in California and hold dual US–UK citizenship.
