Dr. Rebecca Watters is a board certified general adult psychiatrist. She is committed to providing constructive and life changing mental health interventions for her patients as well as a supportive and active learning environment for providers. She sees adults and seniors for psychotherapy and medication management. She graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College at Columbia University and finished medical school at UCLA with honors in psychiatry. Upon completion of her adult psychiatric residency at UCSF, she received the Henry F. Albronda Award for exceptional psychotherapeutic skill and unusual concern for the welfare of patients. She has worked at the University of San Francisco Counseling Center, UC Hastings College of the Law Counseling Center, New Dawn Residential Eating Disorders Program, and Summit Eating Disorders Outpatient Program. For several years, Dr. Watters was the Director of the UCSF Medical Student Well-Being Program where medical students receive counseling and mental health treatment. She is a member of the volunteer clinical faculty at the UCSF Psychiatry Department and teaches psychotherapy to senior residents. As a Fellow for American Psychiatric Association, she is dedicated to providing accessible and affordable mental health care to patients and a positive work environment for doctors.
