Dr. Jaimie Goralnick provides psychotherapy as well as medication management to children, adolescents and adults. Specific areas of interest include divorce, domestic violence, trauma, race, gender identity, sexuality and children who are 2e (twice exceptional). Diagnostically, she has experience treating a variety of disorders including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and ADHD. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of the individual and includes psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, play therapy and parent training techniques. She is currently a member of Mind the Gap — a group of mental health providers who specialize in working with chlidren who are gender expansive .
Dr. Goralnick completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) and her General Psychiatry Residency at Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, Baylor College of Medicine. She graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Robert Wood Johnson (UMDNJ-RWJ) Medical School where she received the Excellence in Psychiatry award and with a BA in Biology from Haverford College. Prior to joining Baywell Psychiatry Group, she practiced in a variety of different settings including private practice, community mental health, home based crisis intervention, adolescent substance abuse and emergency psychiatry. She also served on the Voluntary Faculty at NYPH/Weill Cornell Medical College.
