Jessica Ellinoy, MD (she/her/hers)
General Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Jessica Ellinoy provides psychotherapy and medication management to adults of all ages. Whether with a patient she sees every couple of months as a medication prescriber or multiple times a week in a depth psychotherapy, Dr. Ellinoy strives to understand the complexity of each individual while maintaining a deep connection to our shared basic humanity. It is an incredible honor to be asked to join in the intimate, sometimes painful, and often unintegrated parts of her patients’ experiences. Dr. Ellinoy holds this privilege with respect, and works to create a treatment relationship based around safety, warmth, collaboration, and openness.
Dr. Ellinoy specializes in psychodynamic psychotherapy, but her work is also informed by her training in mindfulness, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, complimentary and alternative medicine, and yoga practice and philosophy. Her professional interests include mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, trauma and loss, life transitions, and identity exploration (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and race and culture).
Dr. Ellinoy completed her psychiatry residency at California Pacific Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She received several awards and honors in Psychiatry while attending the University of Colorado School of Medicine, including the Franklin Ebaugh Award for outstanding performance in Psychiatry by a senior student. She earned her BA with honors in Psychology from beautiful UC Santa Cruz, where she also minored in Theatre Arts. She enjoys and values continuing education, including having completed advanced psychotherapy training through the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
