Psychiatrist Openings:

At Baywell, we have a close knit group of psychiatrists ranging from 8-12 doctors.  We value our connected, supportive team and enjoy working together. All providers meet every Wednesday in San Francisco to discuss cases and learn from consultants.  One unifying factor in our group is that all our clinicians are interested in practicing psychodynamic psychotherapy.  With any given patients, we might bring in other techniques to our sessions including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, medication management, etc.  Our superb administrative team is available to support our doctors and assist with phone calls, billing, and day-to-day tasks.

Psychiatrist positions start at 24 hours a week, and can be increased up to full time 40 hours per week depending on the provider’s preference, performance and office availability.  The provider positions are open for general adult psychiatrists but our practice is always looking to add doctors with advance training.  Providers with further training in substance abuse, child, geriatric or eating disorders are encouraged to apply.

Baywell compensates providers with a secure monthly base salary, a year-end bonus based on individual provider’s productivity and benefits.  We offer full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Dependent Care Account, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability Insurance, Commuter expense reimbursements and a Retirement 401K Plan.

Please email a cover letter and resume to our Medical Director, Rebecca Watters, MD, at watters@baywellpsych.com.  Our interview process consists of an introductory phone call, interviews with our group’s directors and a group interview with all psychiatrists.
